From Sao Luis airport (SLZ) you will need about 3–3.5 hours to reach the little harbor of Barreirinhas and another 1h15m by boat down the river to Atins.

We can recommend good private drivers from Sao Luis and boat drivers from Barreirinhas.

We recommend to stay a minimum of 3 to 4 days in Atins.
